What is Ven a Ver?
Ven a Ver immersions are justice-focused trips rooted in reflection, prayer, and action. Ven a Ver is Spanish for the phrase “come and see.” Jesus invited his disciples to “come and see” what he was all about. Today, Jesus invites us to spend time meeting our dear neighbors, working towards justice so that we may participate in the creation of a world where the dignity of all people and creation is upheld and respected.

Ven a Ver Sustainable Farming
Ven a Ver Sustainable Farming is an immersion into the reality of farming and farmworkers. Students will learn about the issues farmworkers face locally and globally. We will explore themes such as care for creation, migration, and sustainable farming. We hope this encounter will enhance understanding of the Catholic Social Teaching concepts of Human Dignity, Solidarity, and the Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers.

Dates: Thursday June 4, 2026 - Sunday June 7, 2026
The dates for Ven a Ver Sustainable Farming work with my schedule.
Trip Meetings: Participants are required to attend 5 pre-trip meetings after school on the following dates: May 5, May 14, May 19, June 2. You will also be required to attend the student & parent meeting on April 28th (evening meeting) and 1-2 post trip meetings (dates TBD). By initialing below, you agree that you will attend all pre and post trip meetings.
Did you sign up for any retreats (Kairos, Shalom, or Corazon) during the same quarter as this trip? Ven a Ver Chicago takes place during the first quarter of the Spring semester.
If so, would you be willing to switch your retreat date in order to attend the immersion? (if there is not a conflict, just select "no conflict")

Financial Aid

Students are required to pay a participation fee for attending the immersion. Financial Aid is available, even if you do not receive aid from school. See the fees per trip below:
